Matrimonial law - Marriage-Compulsory registration — By judgment dated 14.2.2026 Smt. Seema v. Ashwani Kumar, (2006) 2 SCC 578 : 2006 (2) SCCD 665 : 2006 (2) AWC 1599 (SC), Supreme Court directed all marriages to be compulsorily registered-States were directed to notify procedure for registration of marriages within three months-Directions not fully complied with-States and Union Territories not having acted in accordance with directions given on 14.2.2006-Must forthwith do it-And in no case later than 3 months.
